4 Benefits of Evening Exercise

Embrace the magic of evening exercise with Pilates

With our evenings becoming warmer and longer what better time to start an evening exercise routine then now.  Just like the immense benefits of morning exercise, evening exercise has many benefits.

  • Evenings can be the perfect time of the day to let go of your stress of the day. If you are trying to avoid reaching for that glass of wine or piece of chocolate, what better way than booking in for a Pilates class, I promise by the end of it you won’t feel like the glass of wine.
  • Evening Pilates promotes better sleep. If you are someone who struggles to get to sleep or who has insomnia. Exercising in the evenings is highly recommended, around 3 hours before your bed time. This gives you plenty of time to calm down from that exercise high and give you muscles time to wind down and reach that relaxed state.
  • Evening exercise can be the best time to reach your movement goals. Your body temperature and muscle flexibility tend to peak in the late afternoon and evening, making it the ideal time to optimise performance. You may have noticed when you exercise first thing in the morning your body can feel stiff and less powerful, perhaps give an evening Pilates class a go.
  • Evenings can be the best time to quieten your mind and meditate. In the evening the world tends to quieten down. Take advantage of this peaceful time to focus on your mental and physical self.

If evening exercise sounds like it might suit you best and you’d like to book an evening Pilates class, book here or contact us!
